He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Pearl LaCour and his brother Duane LaCour.
Lowal is survived by his brother Reggie LaCour and wife Rita; his sister Pam Spayth and husband Thomas; four nephews Ryan LaCour, Ronnie LaCour, Seth Spayth, and Colton Spayth, and one great nephew Nathan LaCour.
He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 9 years. During his time in the Air Force, he developed a strong affinity for Australia. He was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal for Meritorious Service during his time there. Lowal also retired as a Route Supervisor from Auto Chlor after 25 years of service. He could tell you "the best way" to get somewhere because of his knowledge of the city streets from his many years of driving. He was loved by all his clients and will be missed.
To know him was to love him. He could be stubborn at times but he also loved to joke around. Lowal was very giving. Any winnings he won at the casinos, he would give away and enjoyed going to various casinos just to have more to give. He took joy in treating others when eating out at one of the many buffets. His latest past time was playing the slot machines at Louisiana Downs with his best friend Miles. He also took delight in playing golf, bowling, fishing, and watching auto racing, crimes shows, and Tiger Woods on television.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Miles for the many years of friendship, Stormie for being the daughter he never had, Ken and Sharon and David and Mary for watching out for him every day, and Auto Chlor Family for the friendships he made during his employment.
A celebration of Life for Lowal will be held Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 12pm until 2pm at the VFW Post 4588, 1004 Jeter Street Bossier City, LA 71111.
