Lisa's life was short in stature but brought so much love and kindness to all those who knew her. Lisa had a kind soul like no other. Despite the progression of the Alzheimer's, her love of others continued to shine through even brighter. She would smile and wave to strangers wherever she was and was even known to hug them on occasion. She would talk and laugh with children and always wanted to see the babies.
She enjoyed the simple things in life: traveling to small towns and exploring the shops; taking her dog, Tucker, for a walk; and camping with her family in Arkansas. In the early stages of her disease, she enjoyed taking part in Alzheimer's Association walks with friends and family.
She was gullible and trusting and believed everyone was good no matter the circumstances. She would stand by you ‘til the bitter end. She had a laugh that would make you smile and a smile that would make you feel comforted when things would not be going so great. She loved unconditionally. As a family we laughed, and boy could we make her laugh but never at her or because of something she did, but always with her.
Lisa loved to sing and dance and was always the first person on the dance floor and the last to leave. She was not afraid to get her boogie on even if the music moved her to dance in a shoe store or just about anywhere. Singing really loud in the car was standard practice.
She could always bring a smile to everyone's face and we have so many funny stories of Lisa’s little antics. On one particular occasion, she seemed exhausted and needed a nap. We got her all tucked in bed, gave her a kiss on the cheek and barely sat down on the couch when to everyone's surprise she came walking in the living room looking fully rested and ready to go. When we told her she was supposed to be taking a nap, she simply said, "I did!” Now that's a power nap.
Lisa was born July 29, 1959 in Landstuhl, Germany. She graduated from Parkway High School in 1977. Lisa worked for the City of Bossier City as a Personnel Specialist in the Human Resources Office for almost 15 years and was adored by her peers.
Lisa is survived by her mother, Frances Waguespack and her husband Joseph Waguespack; her father, Dimetri Charles Primeaux and his wife Lorraine Primeaux; sister, Maria Lee Primeaux and John James; her brother, Charles Phillip Primeaux and Chris Lozito; her sister, Rebecca Lynn Primeaux and Jeff Brady; her children, George Marshall Brewer III and his wife Erin; daughter, Jessica Frances Brewer and Justin Sprawls. Lisa also has three terrific grandchildren, Hunter Grayson Brewer, Kenley Leeann Sprawls and Reagan James Brewer; and her many nieces and nephews. Sadly, due to her disease, she was not able to know her grandchildren but we know she lives in their hearts.
The family would like to thank the employees and nurses at Heritage Manor of Bossier, the Alzheimer's Association of Louisiana, Community Angels of Hope, and all the friends and family who sent their condolences and prayers.
