Bossier City - Born on May 15, 1948 in Houston Texas, Linda Green Shaw entered her place of rest on September 2, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Her gentle nature made her a great friend. She would listen for hours to a friend who needed someone to hear their voice. She was guilty of giving to others what she did not have herself. "Aunt Dit" was witty, intelligent and beautiful. She lived life her way. She will be remembered for being a voice for others, she was very involved in the union at Western Electric and later became a nurse and retired from Schumpert Medical Center. She loved politics as it was another avenue for her to be a mouthpiece for others. She called directly to the White House and actually got a response regarding a local issue! In the end "YaYa" lived for her grandchildren Cora, Jackson and Wyatt. God Bless her soul, we love you and we will miss you. A private memorial will be held for the immediate family only.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Heart Association in honor of her great-nephew, Easton Snyder.
She was preceded in death by her father Charles B. Green, her stepmother Emily F. Ferguson, her stepfathers Jack C. Ferguson and James D. Singleton.
She is survived by her children Michael Bryant (wife Cheryl), Jeremy Shaw and Stacy Bradford (husband Mathew), her mother Margaret R. Singleton, half-brother Jimmy Green (Houston, Texas), her grandchildren Cora Pitts, Jackson Bradford, Wyatt Shaw, sister Lou Trosclair (husband Angelo and children Ashlea, Christopher (wife Krystle) and Alexandra, sister Janet Brasher (husband Rick), her extended family Mark Montgomery and Steve Montgomery and their families, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
