She was born on April 11th, 1947 in Kilgore, Texas where she and her sister Janice spent their childhood years. Later the family relocated to Longview, Texas.
Linda married Bill Sadler in the late sixties and started building their family and businesses. Linda and Bill operated Sadler’s Top Shop for more than 30 years, servicing the Shreveport/Bossier area. Sadler Productions was established during that time as well, with the first state of the art digital editing system in Shreveport/Bossier which is still in business today.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents John and Betty Ellis.
When it came to her family, Linda was a true matriarch. She spent countless hours making sure everyone received the perfect Christmas gift and had everything they needed. Some of the family’s fondest memories were of those Christmas gatherings.
She is survived by her husband; Bill F. Sadler, her children Kathy and (Ted) Price family of Hot Springs, Les Sadler (Audra) of Minden, and Ken Sadler (Delene) of Bossier City; her seven grandchildren Rebecca and Angie Davis, Derek Sadler (Emily), Jake Poole, Bryan Sadler, Laura Sadler Delgrippo (Matt), and Matthew Sadler; her one sister Janice George (Larry) of Biloxi, MS; her nephew, Christopher George of Chicago, Illinois; and four great grandchildren, Austin Tidwell, Mason DelGrippo, Millie and Marshall Sadler.
Linda was an avid animal advocate for all species but especially cats. She worked diligently with numerous community cat shelters to help ensure each abandoned cat was safe, fed and had a home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to CCAP Community Cat Assistance Program or any non-kill rescue of your choice.
