Born on July 21, 1943, in Sparland, Illinois, Judith was the daughter of Thomas and Josephine Lopeman. She grew up in Sparland, IL and was known for her warm heart and orneriness.
In 1966, Judith married Truman Hatten, and they shared over five decades of love, adventure, and cherished moments together. They initially resided in Tampa, Florida, where they raised their two children. They eventually moved to Bossier City, LA, in 2019.
Judith had a deep love for her family, friends, and her faith. She was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Benton, where she found spiritual solace and a welcoming community. She was always available to lend advice or a helping hand and was known for her candidness and occasional outbursts of ornery playfulness, keeping everyone on their toes.
In her free time, Judith had a passion for creative endeavors, including sewing, pottery, and gardening. She had a love for animals and enjoyed horseback riding, finding serenity in nature. Her zest for life was infectious, and her laughter was a source of joy for everyone who knew her.
Judith Karen Lopeman Hatten is survived by her loving spouse, Truman Hatten, her children Travis and Bandy Hatten of Benton, LA, Shelly and David Morgan of Live Oak, FL, her grandchildren Jordan Rogers, Alden Hatten, Kaiden Hatten, Austin Morgan, Jonathan Morgan, Brennan Jackson, great-grandchildren Mason Bell, Salem Morgan, a sister Ann (Sue) Young and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
