Joyce Louise Headrick

Haughton, LA. Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Joyce Schwanke Headrick, age 72 will be held Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 3 pm at Immanuel Lutheran, Bossier City LA with Pastor Kunz and Vicar Zach Misch officiating. Graveside services will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park, Haughton LA. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. until time of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Joyce was born January 1, 1939 in Stillwater, Minnesota and went to be with her Lord on October 28, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Joyce and her husband Robert settled in Shreveport LA, after his retirement from the USAF in 1971. In addition to owning their own business, Joyce retired from LA Downs. She will be remembered for her love for of all animals, especially her dogs and the thoroughbred horses she breed and raised.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Robert Headrick.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Diane Derbonne and husband Jack of Haughton; Robert K Headrick, Jr of Stonewall; R Keith Headrick of Plain Dealing; Dana Baccadutre and husband Don and Niceville, Fl; Paul Headrick and wife Kathy of Plain Dealing; and Susan Headrick of Dayton, Ohio; her grandchildren; Jared, Jack, Danielle, David, Adam, Gary, Brian, Austin and Parker and great grandchild, Braxton.

The family would like to thank Dr. Abdehou, Dr. Schuler, Dr. R Bicknell, Dr. E Bicknell and Lifecare Pierremont. We also want to extend a very special thank you to the staff of MontClair who compassionately assisted with the care of our mother in the last years of her life.
