Johnnie Ruth (Garsee) Wheeler

Jimmy L. and Margaret LaGarce Garsee welcomed Johnnie Ruth into this world on April 13, 1930 in the small town of Logansport, LA. This loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend to many was a passionate and devoted follower of Jesus Christ. She passed away peacefully on June 22, 2018, and is now standing in the presence of our Lord.

Preceding Johnnie in death are her loving husband, John Junior Wheeler; son, John A. Wheeler; and brother, Jimmy Wayne Garsee. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Paul Wheeler with wife Julie and James D. Wheeler with wife Suzanne; daughter, Donna Roberts; brothers, Loyce Garsee with wife Billie Jean and Robert Garsee with wife Cheryle; sister in law, Caroline Garsee; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and dear friends.

A graveside is scheduled for 10 AM, Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Pastor Scotty Gibson will officiate.

The family offers a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Aimee Hospice and the CNA and nursing staff at Pilgrim Manor- Hall 100 for their compassionate care.
