A Celebration of Life service for John Turpin will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy. 80, Haughton, LA on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Barksdale Chaplain will be officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
John was a member of the United States Air Force (Retired) CMSgt and the Masonic Lodge. He also served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nan Thompson and sisters, Martha Scroggs and Mary Bryan.
John is survived by his wife, Betty Lee Turpin; son, Mike Turpin and wife Tammye; sister, Elizabeth T. Reese and husband Talmadge and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
