A Life Celebration for John Rogers is scheduled for 1 PM, Monday, April 2, 2018 at Victory Covenant Church, 200 County Line Rd., McGehee, AR. Pastor Jason Martin will serve as officiant for the service.
Berthral Hugh and Betty Birchfield Rogers welcomed John Stephen into this world on March, 23, 1947 in the small town of Dermott, AR. John was an avid outdoorsman who would take every opportunity to go hunting or fishing with his friends. He was both a master plumber and a master electrician, and the head of facilities at McGehee Hospital for over 30 years. His favorite job, however, was father and grandfather to his family whom he loved so much. His presence will most certainly be missed. Mr. Rogers passed peacefully on March 21, 2018 at the age of 70.
Preceding John in death are his parents and his sister, Judy Azlin. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, William “Bill” Rogers (Kim) and John Rogers, Jr. (Lizette); brother, Mike Rogers (Becky); grandchildren, Keegan, Trevor, Liam, Brandon and Sean Rogers; and numerous other nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation to The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (http://www.pulmonaryfibrosis.org) be made in his honor.
The family would like to offer sincere thanks to the doctors and staff at Cornerstone Hospital in Bossier City, LA for their kind and compassionate care.
