John Michael Evans was born to Bill and Audrey Evans on April 2, 1959 and departed this world on November 13, 2023 at the age of 64. When John was born he only weighed 3 pounds and immediately lost down to 2 1/2 pounds and was put in an incubator for 34 days until he reached a healthy 4 pounds. His parents took him home in a shoe box as a bed where he lived for another month before being put in a crib.
John was a "military brat" and lived his childhood following his parents around the USA and Japan. He spent the majority of his life in the Shreveport/Bossier area graduating from Parkway High School and LSU-S being one of the first classes to graduate from LSU-S.
John went into Business Management and worked at the Beall-Ladymon stores in Shreveport. He obtained his own stores to manage in Morgan City, LaRose and Thibodaux. Once his franchise closed John returned to Shreveport to work for the Casino Boats where he was employed at his time of passing.
John was a loving person who gave his life always trying to make others happy. Some of John's free time included his favorite pastimes of hunting and fishing. He spent many happy days at the hunting lease with his dad and brother. John's special young friend and neighbor, Chance went fishing in all the bayous and the Red River. Devoting much of John's time to raising this young man, Chance was highly thought of as family.
John was preceded in passing by his mother whom he loved dearly, Audrey Evans, paternal grandparents, John and Sue Evans, maternal grandparents, Le and Katherine Biddison, and his step-brother, Carl Garbarino.
Left to cherish John's wonderful memories is his father, William "Bill" Evans, brother, Bill Evans (Lee Ann), step-brother, Joe Garbarino (Angie), along with many nephews, nieces, special cousins, and numerous wonderful friends.
John will be missed by all who loved and knew him. May he forever rest-in-peace. God keep you safe till we meet again.
