Scott was born in Shreveport on November 30, 1963. He graduated from Bossier High School in 1981, and began his career in the manufactured home family business shortly after. He started out driving a home toter pulling manufactured homes for his Dad, and he learned the business while working in every department from service to sales along the way before opening his own dealership in Tyler, TX in 1995 and another in Shreveport in 1998 to continue the legacy started by his father, Joe. Scott loved to be anywhere on the water, whether he was hosting friends at his houseboat on Degray Lake or sitting on the beach in Destin, that was his happy place. He was a muscle car enthusiast and he was especially partial to Corvettes and ‘69 Camaros, and he loved a good car show or rod run. Scott loved to help people and he was such a giver in every sense. He showed the same love and care to everybody he met no matter their background, and he made a lasting impact on so many lives along the way. He was strong in his faith and led many young lives to the Lord in his time serving in the student ministry at First Baptist Church in Bossier. He lived a wonderful life and contributed so much to his community and family, and he will be dearly missed.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elliot and Minnie Ray, Joe and Lucy Tilley, and his father, Billy Joe Tilley.
