A visitation will also be held at Hill Crest Thursday July 1, 2021 from 5-7 pm. Officiating the services will be Reverend Christopher J. Yeager.
Jim passed away peacefully June 27, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on August 18, 1943 to James & Zola Pazzaglia. At a young age his family moved to Buffalo, NY. Jim was always a fun-loving guy, but his mother did not always approve of his rowdy bunch of friends. At 16 she thought it best to send him to live with her sister in Watts, OK to live a more laid-back lifestyle. He worked at the boarding house that his aunt ran and finished high school in a class of 21. Following his friends to Northwestern State College in Oklahoma he graduated with a BA degree and began working at City Service Oil. He worked his way from the bottom up and was offered a promotion that would require him to move back to New York; he quickly said no and started Small Business Services to be his own boss. He retired after 50 years of dedication to his clients.
Jim played host to many parties and holiday gatherings at his Bossier City home and loved to watch the grandchildren play in the pool- they loved their Granddaddy. His friends will tell you about his quick wit, his big laugh, and his bigger personality. He especially enjoyed giving you the Pinky Salute when he didn’t care enough to send the very best. Jim’s best friend and wife of 30 years was always by his side whether they were discovering new golf courses, hanging out w/ friends and family, or just cruising around in his 64 ½ convertible Mustang.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents; his brother; and son, Brian McGinty. He is survived by his loving wife Martha; children, Tony Pazzaglia and wife Tara, Blake McGinty and wife Debby, and daughters, Liz Watkins, Pam Graves and Becky Graves; 11 grandchildren, Paige Owens and husband Daniel, Myles Watkins, Jordon Johnson and husband Hunter, Austin McGinty and wife Kendall, Brianne McGinty, Nick Pazzaglia, Peyton Hodges, Isabella Hodges, Foster Hodges, Shane Freeman, and Josh Graves; 6 great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Amelia, Grady, Logan, Paisley, and Lilyann with Luke on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Jenny Kaczmorek and husband Mike.
The family would like to thank Regional Hospice & the ladies at Old Brownlee Community Care House A for the loving care Jim has received the last few weeks. Also, the family extends a very special thank you to Sheldon Snow for all of his care, compassion, and concern. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ninna’s Road to Rescue, or the charity of your choice.
Honoring Jim as pallbearers will be Austin McGinty, Nick Pazzaglia, Hunter Johnson, Ed Tilden, Linc Farrington, and Robert Smith.
