MARSHALL, TX - Services will be held to celebrate the life of James Alton Ogden at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the park. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time.
James was born on September 18, 1948 in Shreveport, LA and passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023. After retiring from a life-long career in the oilfield, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, music and spending time on his land with his family and entertaining his fur babies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sarah and George Ogden.
James is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Ogden; daughter, Sara Ogden; son, Paul Ogden and wife Vickie; granddaughter, Kyleigh Lopez and husband Francisco; grandson, Westin Ogden; brothers, Cliff Ogden and Joe Ogden and wife Billie June; sisters, Ann Robinson and Carla Cramer.
Pallbearers will be Paul Ogden, Eric Robinson, Sidney Ogden, Ryan Holford, John Murphy and Francisco Lopez.
