BOSSIER CITY, LA – Services for James Harvey Lucuis, 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday September 30, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Pastor Calvin Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving visitors from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday September 29, 2012 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
James was born December 11, 1933 and went to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012. He was a loving husband, father, sibling and son. He was a member of the Masons and the Retired Air Force Association. James proudly served his country spending 25 years in the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean War Conflict and Viet Nam, where he earned a bronze star. After retiring his life did not slow down he went back to work for a trucking company as a shipping manager. In James spare time he loved to spend time with family and friends, hunting, fishing and being outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lud Bryson Lucius and Eula Mae Vogel-Lucius; his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Marie Kelly-Lucius; daughter, Terry Elizabeth Lucius-Flowers; son, Christopher Thomas Lucius; sister, Dorothy Marie Gray; brothers, Royce Leon Lucius and Samuel Douglas Lucius.
James is survived by: son, James Bryson Lucius; daughter, Angela J. Lucius-McCarroll and husband Kerry; grandchildren, Bonnie Elizabeth Brauchle-Curtis, Bradley Flowers, Jennifer Lucius and Kristen Lucius.
