Gregory was born in Biloxi, MS to George and Melva (Beall) Franklin. He lived several different places until his family called Bossier City their home. He was a graduate of Parkway High School and attending college at LA Tech, before he began a career with USPS until his retirement. He was very friendly and made conversation with anyone he came in contact with, extending every short errand into a social event. He loved to golf and also bowled for many years on teams, a few with his brother, Edward.
He is preceded in death by his parents. Gregory is survived by his brother, Edward Franklin as well as extended family and friends.
A visitation for Gregory will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel, with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 am with Brother Calvin Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
