Ethel was an Air Force wife. In later years, she was employed in the Pelican Room at Louisiana Downs. She was remembered as a special person who was patient and understanding she was known as the Bedrock Foundation of the Pelican Room staff.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Louis B. Bigner, Sr. (retired Air Force), oldest daughter, Ellen Rosanna Bigner, and youngest son, Kenneth Alan Bigner.
Left to cherish her memory are three children: Louis Bigner, Jr., Debbie Nichols, and Lynn Musso, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and a great-great grandson. She has two surviving siblings: Tottie McDonald and Buddy Glascock, along with extended family members and wonderful friends.
A visitation for Ethel will be held Saturday, August 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM until time of the Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM, located in the Chapel of Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana. A private entombment will immediately follow on the grounds of Hill Crest Memorial Park, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, Louisiana, 71037.
