Emily Maurine Willadsen

Our beloved Mother, Emily “Maurine” Hobbs Willadsen, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning after being bedridden for 2 ½ years at the age of 89. Mother remained thankful, positive, and happy the entire time. Her mind remained strong and sharp. Mother was still giving each of us instructions on how to behave and praying daily for her family. Mother set a beautiful example of being a faithful servant in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was always looking forward to the Resurrection.

Visitation for Mother will be held at 1:00 April 25th, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Highway 80, Haughton, LA. Memorial services, officiated by Dr. Don Ward, will follow at 2:00 on April 25th in the chapel of the Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held following the memorial service at Hill Crest.

Mother was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Willadsen, 2 sons, John Edward and James Peter Willadsen and 1 grandson, Jeremy Willadsen. She was also preceded in by her parents, Horace and Carrie Hobbs, 1 brother and 4 sisters.

Mother is survived by 9 children, Margaret Ruiz (Al), Maureen Meshell, Bernadette Jones (Bill), Rosemarie Petty, Linda McDowell, Joey Willadsen (Linda), Cheryl Tootle, Kathy Bates (Don), Tammy Boze (Caroll) and her daughter-in-law who she regarded as a daughter, Susan Willadsen. Mother is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter, one sister, Sue Gulett, and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Eric, James, and John Petty, Will and Taylor Tootle, TJ Martin, Petty Officer Patrick Boze, and Senior Airman Ben Boze. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Sgt. Benard Willadsen and Sgt. Daniel Boze.
