HAUGHTON, LA – A Celebration of Life will be held for Mrs. Eloise C. O’Brien, 93, at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Harrell Shelton and Dr. Bruce Edwards. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.
Pat was born on February 9, 1923, in Chipley, GA to parents, John C. and Effie Lee Cornett. She passed away peacefully on the evening of September 10, 2016, from complications due to Alzheimer Disease.
Pat is preceded in death by her loving husband, Col. James E. O’Brien, USAF Ret.; brothers, Alton, Bill, and Jake Cornett; and sisters, Edith Clites, Edna Crosby, and Evelyn Laws. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy Quigley (Paul); granddaughter, Theresa Giles (Jim); grandson, Brien Quigley; great-grandsons, Darrell (Ashlie), Cole, and Hunter Giles; great-great-grandson, Kolin Giles; great-great-granddaughters, Brynlie, Baylor, and Hazel Lee Giles; her dear friend and sister-in-law, Dorothy Cornett of Brandon, FL.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Jim, Darrell, Cole, Hunter, and Kolin Giles, and Kirk Thomas.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mrs. O’Briens’ sitters, J.V., Rosland, and Patsy, for all of their loving care and compassion. They would also like to thank the staff of Regional Hospice along with Robyn Watkins, Tony, and Sandy. You were all truly a blessing.
