Edith Montez West

Funeral services for Montez West, 86, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Jim Brown officiating. Interment will follow at West Lake Cemetery in Doyline. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Mrs. West was born December 25, 1925 in West Monroe , LA and passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 at her residence in Doyline. She was a member of the West Lake Baptist Church, sold Avon for many years, was a resident of Doyline, LA.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Adrian Leo West; son, Adrian Darrell West, parents, Richard and Delphine Tolbird; four brothers, and one sister.

Survivors include her daughter, Denise Dukes and husband David; sister, Etolia Terry; grandchildren, Brian West and wife Gini; Allen Dukes and wife Alicia; Jason Dukes and wife Barbara; and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Allen Dukes, Jason Dukes, Rusty Nelson, Jason Lewis, Mike Bryant, and Justin Bell.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Kathy Matthews, Cathy Cannon, Oddessey Hospice, and West Lake Baptist Church Sunday School.
