

BENTON, LA – Services for Dwain Brasher, 75, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 01, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Brother David Hill officiating along with Jeff Grisham. Entombment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015.
Dwain was born in Marion, LA on September 05, 1939 to John and Zera Brasher. He retired from the U.S. Army after 22 ½ faithful years where he served in the Viet Nam war. He was in the restaurant business for over 20 years. He also was an owner-operator in the trucking business. He enjoyed participating in watersports and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Sara E. Brasher; daughter Margaret Ann Boswell; two brothers, Hurby W Brasher and J.W. Brasher; two sisters, Geroldine Arrendar and Hazel Edwards.
Dwain is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Rachel Brasher; sons, Gene Brasher and Roscoe Boswell and wife Sharla; daughters, Linda Carol Patricola, Belinda W. Moore and husband Johnny, Bobbi Grisham and husband Jeff and Rebecca Shoemaker and husband B.J.; sister Nancy May Green; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be the Army Honor Guard. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Cotton, Manny Flores, Darryl Luckenbaugh, Daniel Boswell, Korey Grisham, Derrick Arthur and Logan Boswell.
