As the 20's roared to an end, Dorothy Selma Gray Rucker was born in Afton, Missouri on May 13, 1929 to Mary Selm Jennewein and Charles William Gray. This vivacious nonagenarian was the strong-willed, hardworking epitome of a loving matriarch. After the passing of her husband, Dorothy started her first and only career at K&B Drugstore, where she retired after 30 years.
Dorothy had a caring soul; she helped, housed, and fed anyone that needed it. She loved cooking, cats, Pavarotti, Neil Diamond, soap operas, horse racing, and QVC. She wasn't afraid to share her theories as an avaricious cultivator of all things alien and self-proclaimed Sasquatch seeker. She now knows the secrets of the reigning hide and seek champion of the world. Dorothy was most proud of her ever-expanding family, and everything they've accomplished.
Dorothy was called to Heaven on May 1, 2024 at the age of 94.
Left to carry on her legacy and cherish her memory are her son, Ronald Lee Rucker (Mary),; son, Kenneth Wayne Rucker, Sr.; daughter, Susan Ann Rucker Herrera (Carlos); son, Thomas Dean Rucker (Jenny); daughter, Patricia Rucker Nattin (Rodney); grandchildren, Ronnie Rucker, Kenneth Rucker, Jr. (Lynette), James Rucker (Emily), Heather Herrera Conklin (Joe), Carlos Herrera , Megan Herrera Simmons (Casey), Natale Rucker Fanning (George), Alicia Rucker Howard, Mary (Libby) Rucker, Sarah Cornu Robin (Luke), Olivia Lauren Conu; great grandchildren, , Ashley, Shelby, Haley, Gage, Keaton, Sydney, Graysen, Ava Aubrey, Gray Matthew, Hana, Austen, Aiden, Harper, Brennan, and Colston; her sister, Mary Lee Parker (Robert); her most recent roommate and niece, Kimberly Ann Price; her feline assistant, Miss Kitty; as well as several nieces, nephews and their children.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 pm on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Hill Crest Memorial Park with Father Karl Daigle officiating.
