I am so heartbroken that this sweet, kind and precious soul is no longer here on Earth. But he will be making that beautiful music with the angels and the family music players that have gone on before him. I will never forget the time that we found out that there was going to be a live band in our little town of Castor! So me and my husband decided to go check it out. When we got to our table, I heard a voice saying, " I would like to sing this next song for some of my family that just walked in, and I looked up and it was Chris!" And he sang Hank Jr's FAMILY TRADITION! And I went up and gave him a hug! Chris was a people person, I have not known anyone that didn't love him. And his smile just made your heart feel good. He will certainly be singing and playing with my Daddy, Uncle Ordie, Uncle Howard, Uncle Donald Roy, Mr. Gerald Robinette and all the others that are there already! Oh how I wish I could hear them again! Love and prayers for this precious family. Until I see you again, RIP Chris.I love you!!!

My heart is filled with sadness 💔however I am at peace because I know where my cousin is. I couldn't find any pictures with him, however I fondly remember get togethers, kidding around whenever I would see him. I remember he would always say hey girl whenever he would see me 💖 I hadn't seen Chris in years, but the last time I saw him, you would think he had just seen me. I can honestly say he was very special to me and he was such a truly good person. I'm sorry I didn't see him more often, but I will see him again. I know you're playing for the angels today Chris 🙏🏼 you loved dearly and will be missed daily 💙🌹💙

Giddens family - I’m so sorry for the loss of Chris. I met Chris around 1985 or 86, and was allowed the privilege of playing music with him two or three times over a period of about 3 years. Chris  made an impression on me that honestly never went away. He was just a nice guy and a great musician. When my niece was born on October 28, 1997, Lori and I went up to the hospital to see her and Chris just happened to be there for the birth of one of his girls. We got to see the baby and I got to talk with him for a while - I believe that was the last time he and I spoke. I was able to keep up with him for a long time through his dad (we worked together at Beaird) and I was always glad to hear he was doing well.  Lori and I are praying for y’all. 

Gary and I are so very sorry for your tremendous loss. Chris was always such a good neighbor, always willing to us whenever there was a need. We will be lifting you all up in prayer, now and in the many days to come.

Too many memories to put on here with this precious cousin of mine who definitely was my confidant, had my back and I had his, he checked on me regularly pretty much weekly, and actually I have two memories out of hundreds and hundreds I guess I will post, one being our side by side (my first time) mud riding adventure, Chris says he wants to take me mud riding so I agree and he says since it is my first time and I am a special cousin and he loves me then he won’t go fast or sling me off, lol, so we go on and go mud riding and he is very careful on driving and we had the best time and another memory would be when he would come down to country and get ready to go deer hunting he would ask me before giving me a hug did I have that smell good stuff on because he said if I did he could not give a hug but would give a hug if I did not have it on ❤️but oh I have so many sweet precious memories of our growing up years , and of us staying at their house a lot because both of our dad’s worked at Riley Beaird’s in Shreveport. I am going to miss you so much Chris and I love you and thanks for being there looking out for me, not going to be the same anymore for sure😢😢💔💔

I met Chris in 1991 when I started my job at United Bilt Homes. We worked there together for 7 years. Many fun times we had. He then went to Southern Components where I now work. We worked there together until late last year. He made his way through the office saying his goodbyes. He told me he would call me soon. Well I never did get a call. I’ll sure miss that guy! God has more important plans for you I’m sure!

I worked with Chris for over 12 years. 
 I always considered him one of my best friends over the years. He always bragged on his daughters and loved his family very much. He will be missed dearly!!

One of my favorite friends from Summer Grove Elementary.  Although I haven’t seen Chris in many years I have thought of him often.  RIP my friend.

Chris has been a great friend for close to 20 years and a truss salesman and rep for that long too, that's how we met, but always a friend first. Gonna miss my friend.  Rest easy Buddy, say hi to Linda for me.  

I remember Chris as a funny, fun loving guy who loved his daughters with a passion. Based on his 4-letter-word expletives describing their boyfriends, no one was quite good enough for his girls! My Dad especially loved his conversations with Chis that left him laughing as hard as he could. The degree of emotional pain resulting from Chris' departure is a direct relationship of the love he had for everyone and that everyone has for him. Rest well Chris. God has His and yours in the palm of His hands.
