A Celebration of his life will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel at 2:00 PM Friday, at Hill Crest Memorial Park, in Haughton, with Bro. Joe Bob Alexander presiding.
Though Donald was born in Ft. Campbell, KY, February 4, 1954 unto the union of Lester and Helen Burleson, he was raised in Louisiana. He married his high school sweetheart, as she was valedictorian and he was salidatorian, both graduating from Provencal High School.
Mr. Burleson was employed by Alpha Media. Donald was a loving, caring, man and an amazing husband. He loved his wife, friends, and his dogs, Barney and Chance.
Left to cherish his memory are: his wife of 50 years Amanda Kay Moss Burleson; sister, Loretta Knechtges; and many dear In-Laws, as he was very close to Amanda’s Family, to include his sister-in-law Connie Brister; his two brother-in-laws, John McElfresh and Robert Moss; along with his beloved nieces and nephews; dear friends, and work family at Alpha Media, where he was a Business Manager.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father Lester Burleson, and mother Helen Crager Burleson.
Serving as pallbearers are: Justin Brister, Jeff Brister, Josh Brister, Paul Robertson, Eddie Thurmond, and Arthur Montgomery.
In lieu of flower, the family asks that donations in Donald’s honor be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, of Shreveport.
