David Homer Listen Boyer

HAUGHTON, LA – Services for Mr. David L. “Homer” Boyer, 56, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Ed Baswell. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday evening between the hours of 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

David was born August 27, 1956, in Albuquerque, N.M. and passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. He was the best PawPaw in the world and absolutely adored his “Grandbabies”. David was owner of Boyer Custom Carts and enjoyed hunting, fishing and horsepower in his spare time. He was good with his hands, never met a stranger and always had a smile and a story to tell. All he ever wanted was to be “Happy, Happy, Happy”.

David was preceded in death by his parents, David L. and Phyllis (Anderson) Boyer; and his brother, Daniel Boyer. Left to cherish his memory is his wife and best friend of 37 years, Dianna “DeeDee” Boyer; daughter, Danya Montoya and husband, Robert; son, Davey Boyer and wife, Annette; sister, Denise Callen and husband, Jimmy; brother, Daren Boyer and wife, Tonya; grandchildren, Ashlynn Boyer, Kaitlyn Montoya, Kaleigh Boyer and Addison Montoya; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

Honoring Mr. Boyer as pallbearers are Michael Cater, Chester Pitts, Cecil Ball, Matthew Currie, Chris Allen and Benji White. Honorary pallbearer is Ritchie Thompson.
