Irving Joseph and Barbara Mae (Switzer) Basich welcomed little Dan into this world on March 8, 1945 in Chicago, IL. He served his country proudly in the Army’s 7th Cavalry, and went on to forge a 25 year career with UPS; retiring as a member of its management team. He loved rooting for the Chicago Bears and any team that Nick Saban coached, watching NASCAR races, and shopping… In Bulk. Dan showed his love in his very own special way. He passed surrounded by family on September 18, 2019, at the age of 74. He will most certainly be missed.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Teresa Basich; sons, Michael Basich (Amy), Daniel Basich, and Jerry Kirkpatrick (Caroline); daughters, Kristine Basich, Peggi Carney (Mickey), Dana Flutman , Stacy Hunter and Shirley Kirkpatrick (Ron); three brothers, Jim Basich (Patti), Steve Basich (Judy) and Mark Basich; one sister, Carol Peterson (Tom); twenty-two grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; and numerous other nieces, nephews other family and friends.
