Christopher Edward Dean, 58, of Bossier City, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023, in his home, after a lengthy illness.
Chris was born April 26, 1965, in Oakdale, Louisiana to Addie Dean and the late Ralph Dean.
Chris was a loving son, brother, father, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many that loved him dearly. Chris was passionate about NASCAR, his beloved LSU Tigers, his Dallas Cowboys, and Dr. Pepper. After graduating from high school, Chris took over his dad’s wrecker service, later becoming a mechanic for many years, before becoming a tow truck driver. Of all his loves, he had a love like no other than his precious fur babies, Shenea, Gus, Sebastian and Rot-Rot.
Chris is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Dean. He is survived by his wife Jamie Dean of Bossier City; his mother, Addie Lou Dean of Bossier City; brother Edward (Ranae) Dean of Arlington, Texas; daughter Crystal (Harley) Rigsby of Searcy, Arkansas; son Braden Barkman of Shreveport, Louisiana; grandchildren Carly Rigsby and Braelynn Luna Barkman; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 25, 2023 from 5-7 p.m.at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home and Park in Haughton, Louisiana.
Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 26th at 2 pm at Hill Crest Memorial.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been set up in Chris’s name to help cover funeral expenses.
