Born November 9, 1946, in Dennison, TX, she lived in Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, and moved to the Shreveport/Bossier City area in 1994 with her husband of 37 years, Billy Ray Wroten, where they opened and continue to operate Dixie Floors.
Survivors include her husband and her sister, Patricia Lee Hawk of Houston, TX. Cheryl was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Tirpack; and her father, Jack Hawk.
Cheryl, with her husband as her partner, enjoyed fame as a karaoke singer with a riveting rendition of “Boardwalk”. She enjoyed visiting her accounts, gardening, shopping, lunching with friends, reading Southern Living, and cooking (although you would never be given her recipe for anything) – specialties were seafood gumbo and cheesecake. Cheryl’s home was her pride and joy and is a beautiful tribute to her decorating and homemaking skills. She delighted in telling jokes but could never remember the punch line. Friends will always remember her infectious laugh.
