Charlotte Ann Newton

Charlotte was born in Providence, Rhode Island on May 8, 1947 to parents, W.C. Holder and Antonia Pupella Holder and passed away gracefully surrounded by her family in Shreveport, Louisiana on March 10, 2015. She was the owner and operator of Classic Cuts in Shreveport since the late 70’s. She enjoyed making people feel beautiful and playing cards with her friends. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Weldon Newton. She is survived by daughters, Kimberly Barber and Toni Newton; brother, Barry Puppella; grandchildren Derrick Ehrhard, Wayne Helms, Sarabeth Newton; great-grandchildren, Alexus Ehrhard, Noah Ehrhard, Kadien Ehrhard and Bailey Helms.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Home, the Christus Schumpert Cancer Center, the Salvation Army or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

The family would like to thank her closest everyday friends along with all the special people that made her happy throughout the years. They would also like to thank all of the doctors and nurses that made her journey happy and comfortable, through this fight.
