Charles Floyd Brewer

Services in his honor will begin with a Visitation between 6 – 8 pm, Wednesday, January 18, with the Funeral on Thursday, January 19 at 2:00 pm, with Bro. Steve Casey presiding. Each of these will be hosted at Hill Crest Memorial. Interment will follow the Funeral at Haughton Cemetery.

Charles was born in Leesville, Louisiana on Sunday, June 25, 1950 to the proud parents, John and Jolene Brewer, Jr.

Charles lived in Haughton for over 40 years and owned C & J Drywall, along with his brother James for 15 years, prior to retiring. If Mr. Brewer was not working, most often he could be found working in the yard in the flower beds. Charles greatly preferred to be outdoors. When indoors, however, he could be heard singing Karaoke with friends and family. In his later years, he loved to sit in his rocker and watch the birds and squirrels and even better, seeing and being with family and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.

Mr. Brewer was preceded in death by: father, John Brewer, Jr.; mother, Jolene Bass Brewer; brother, John Brewer, III.; sister, Susan Brewer Fields; son, Charles “Bubba” Brewer, Jr.; and beloved wife of 49 years, Paulette Ann Brewer.

Left to cherish his memory are: daughter, Denise Brewer Diviney (& David); grandchildren, Ashley Gardner, Blake Horton (& Grecia), Chelsea Smith (& C.J.), Justin Brewer (& fiancé Ashtyn Vines); siblings, James Brewer (& Rosa), Larry Brewer, Sherry Brewer Schad; Johnnie Nicolaisen (& Jim), Elizabeth O’Donnell (& Tom); and sister-in-law, Sandy Bonsall Brewer; great-grandchildren, Bradely Horton, Bella Horton, Charli Smith, Oakley Smith, and many nieces and nephews.

We are sure going to miss him !
