Although we know we must leave this world one day, it is never easy to say goodbye. Cathy passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on August 4th, 2022, to find a peace this world could not provide. She finally lost her long battle with Alzheimer’s disease and her journey to a better place has just begun.
Cathy was born in Minden, LA on October 14, 1952, to parents Jack Lyons and Elizabeth Begay Lyons. She grew up in the Minden, LA area and graduated from Sibley High School. She also attended Bossier Parish Community College where she earned her Associate degree in Business Administration. She worked at Rosti, Inc. in Minden, LA prior to her illness.
Left to cherish her memory include husband, Brandt Miller; daughters, Natalie Frost and Racheal Matthews of Austin, TX, Angela Hamilton and husband Matt of Shreveport; sisters, Rose Antee and husband Jackie, Doris Wilson, Myra Wilson, Blanche Moore, and Barbara Larkin of Minden; sister-in-law, Linda Layton and husband Bobby; and grandsons, Jack Hamilton and Jude Hamilton. Cathy also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Jack Lyons; and mother, Elizabeth Begay Lyons; brother, Herman Lyons; and sister, Jackie Lyons.
Funeral Service for Catherine Miller will be held at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, 601 Hwy 80, Haughton, LA 71037 on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Matt Hamilton, Bobby Layton, Alan Jones and Steve Brantley.
