Services will be held to celebrate the life of Brenda B. Lamb on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 1:00pm followed by a service at 2:00pm with Pastor Danny Moffett officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Brenda was born on January 18, 1950, in Dangerfield, TX and passed away peacefully in Bossier City, LA on February 1, 2024 after a lengthy illness. She was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. Brenda was talented in crafts and design. She was a floral hobbyist and highly skilled with interior decorating. With a bachelor's degree in accounting already under her belt, Brenda went back to school in 2005 earning a degree in nursing from Southern University in Shreveport. She spent over 20 years as a bookkeeper for the Bossier Council on Aging before going on to work for over 14 years at Overton Brooks Veterans Hospital.
Brenda also provided loving care for her special needs daughter until she wasn’t physically able to do so.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Brown of Bossier City, LA. Brenda is survived by her mother, Naomi Brown of Bossier City, LA; aunt, Ester Watson of Haughton, LA: daughter, Christy Lamb; son, Brian Lamb, both of Bossier City, LA; granddaughter, Lauren L. Whittington, and husband Colby of Ida, LA; grandson, Titus Lamb of Bossier City, LA; and one great granddaughter Mary Catherine on the way!
Pallbearers will be Eugene Watson of Haughton, LA: Michael Watson of Haughton, LA : Colby Whittington of Ida, LA : Joey Robichaux of Bossier City, LA: Mark Singler of Shreveport, LA : Guy Linacre of Bossier City, LA.
The family would like to thank WK North Cancer center, Dr. Maxwell McDonald, Dr. Ted Warren, and Dr. Arnold E. Barz, the staff of Old Brownlee Community Care, the nursing staff of Amedisys Hospice Care, and Pastor Danny Moffett.
