Bonnie was a wonderful mother to her five children. She did many things outside of the home with great success. She and her first husband, Pete Fotopoulos, ran restaurants; one in Tyler, TX and another in Hempstead, TX in the late 60s and early 70s. Around 1978 she went back to school to receive her L.P.N. degree and worked for 20 plus years as a private duty nurse and then worked in nursing homes. She married AB Hughey in 1981 and they had many happy years together until his death in 2013. Bonnie was artistic and loved to draw and paint, especially with watercolors and gifted much of her work to her family. She also had a love of animals and always had pets, especially her dogs Duchess and Oscar who gave her so much joy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, AB Hughey; her father, Milton Henry King; mother, Francis Annabell King; sisters, Madeline King, Dorothy Powell and Anna Kersey; brothers, Jessie King and Joe King.
Bonnie is survived by her children, Tina Cunningham, Tommy Fotopoulos and wife Marsha, Elaine Atencio and husband Michael, John Fotopoulos and wife Kerstin, and Petrina Fotopoulos Smith and husband Cory; grandchildren, Christina Nichols, Brandon Nichols, Jennifer Young, Alexander Fotopoulos, Tasha Solotoff, Olivia Nelson, Reed Fotopoulos, Michael Lamb, Matthew Janes, Elizabeth Eubanks-Archer, Donnie Eubanks, Anthony Eubanks, Kathryn Eubanks, Sondra Fotopoulos, Lisa Gullett and Laura Ansel; numerous great grandchildren, nieces nephews and friends.
