Betty Ulmer Sutton

Funeral Home in Haughton, LA, with Rev. Miles Holladay officiating. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. prior to

the service.

Mrs. Sutton was born February 04, 1928 in Bernice, LA. After 96 years, she entered eternal rest on April 04, 2024. She married Robert Sutton January 22, 1948, and became a mother on October 10, 1948 to Larry Sutton, her pride and joy. Betty resided in Bossier City, where she was a member of Asbury United Methodist. She retired from Arkla Gas in 1985. Mrs. Sutton enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and

great-grandchildren, gardening, watching soap operas, playing bingo, and reading her Bible and Upper Room devotional daily.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Sutton and their son Larry Sutton, her parents Enos & Marie Ulmer, her brother Ralph Ulmer and her sisters Vonnie Hoffoss and Helen Roach. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Laddie Ulmer of Minden, LA, her granddaughter Katie and husband Danny Vernon, and her great grandchildren Mara and Tucker Vernon of Marshall, TX, as well as her grandson Wes Sutton and great grandchildren Westin, Pierce, Amelia & Peter of Fl, daughter in law, Clair Dannhaeuser of Marshall, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Keith Ulmer, Ray Sledge, Patrick Sledge, Al Moore, Norman Pope, and Timothy Pope.

We would like to give a special Thank you to The Blake of Bossier, St. Joseph’s Hospice, and Cypress Pointe Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
