Betty Jo Ogden

Betty Jo Ogden, age 74, of Henderson, Texas passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was born August 5, 1950, in Terrell, Texas, to the late George Blackburn Pitner and Jennie Sue Bynum Pitner. Betty met her husband of forty-nine years while working at Shumpert as a ward clerk. She was an accountant with Louisiana Valve before starting her career at General Motors in Shreveport, Louisiana where she retired.

In Betty's spare time, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting, spending time with her grandchildren and her fur babies.

Betty was preceded in passing by her parents; one sister, Mary Sue Beason; one brother, Jimmy Pitner; and her beloved husband, James Ogden.

Left to cherish Betty's wonderful memory will be her daughter, Sara Ogden; her son, Paul Ogden (Vickie); a granddaughter, Kyleigh Lopez (Francisco); a grandson, Westin Ogden, two great-grandsons: Valentin Lopez, Florencio Lopez; along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Choice Hospice, Oakwood Assisted Living, and Pine Lodge Assisted Living for the care, compassion, and professional attendance necessary during such a difficult time.
