Alberta "Bert" Denham

Bossier City, LA- Services for Alberta “Bert” Denham will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Hill Crest Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hill Crest Funeral Home.

Bert was an incredibly loving Wife, a wonderful Mother and a caring and proud Grandmother! She was involved in a myriad of philanthropic service organizations, including the Bossier City chapter, # 175 Order of the Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile Khafra Temple # 121, and the Supreme Assembly Social Order of the Beauceant. She lived her life dedicated to the care and service of her family and others always before herself. Her preferred medium of service was through music as an avid composer and pianist.

Her beloved daughter, Cheryl Denise Denham, preceded her in death and upon her untimely death she raised her daughter’s sons as her own. She is survived by her treasured husband of 62 amazing years - Gwayne Denham, sons Darrell Denham and wife Bonnie, Sean Denham and wife Lori-Jane, James Denham and wife Catherine, grandchildren David Michael Cleary, Macy Rain Denham and Marjorie Lane Denise Denham.

In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial contributions made in Bert’s name to the Louisiana Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
