Adron retired from the Air Force in 1967 and moved to Bossier City, LA; from there, we moved to Tyler, TX in 1968 to work as an Aircraft Mechanic. In 1996, he and Margaret moved to Georgetown, TX, from Keithville, LA. He was still working as an Aircraft Mechanic. In 1998, he retired and moved to Homer, LA, where he and Margaret called home. They were active in Calvary Baptist Church. Margaret died in 2011 of cancer, but he continued to live in their home until 2022, when he decided to call Presbyterian Village of Homer his new home.
His passion was using his skills as a master mechanic: maintaining, building, and restoring planes. He was clever and packed to the brim with knowledge gained through life experiences, and he could fix or build anything. After moving to Homer, his passion changed to gardening. After Margaret’s death, his passion changed again, and he helped out at Claiborne Council on Aging until he moved into the nursing home.
A Graveside Funeral Service, in his honor will be held at 10:00 am, within the Hill Crest Memorial Cemetery, Haughton, LA., on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
