Kevin James Bolton, age 41, of Harrogate, TN passed away at Parkwest Medical Center on Wednesday evening, September 8, 2021. Kevin was born in Bell county on July 30, 1980 and lived and worked most of his life in Claiborne County, with time spent in Andersonville and Oak Ridge, TN.
He enjoyed a long and meaningful career in IT at Lincoln Memorial University, where he leaves a host of friends that are more like family. He switched careers in 2020 to work for Campbell Insurance, Harrogate, where he loved interacting with commercial and personal insurance accounts.
Kevin did not know a stranger and used his wit and charm to win over even the hardest exteriors. His favorite thing was serving his beloved church, Pump Springs Baptist, as sound and IT technician and chief high-fiver of all kids in Children’s Church. He also greatly enjoyed living in the Mountain Pass Campground for the last year, where he leaves behind many new friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 5 years, Mary (Spell) Bolton, daughter Emma Bolton, sons Ethan Bolton and Jadon Hopkins, twin sisters Kellie and Crystal Bolton, parents David (Brenda) Bolton, Aunts Linda Lankford and Donna Blakemore, cousin Tonya (Nick) Nash and their children Gracie, Colson and Carter Nash, Uncle Jack (Belinda) Bolton, cousins Cole Bolton, Loren (PJ) Postiglione and their children Nico and Roman Postiglione, Grandmother Bennie Massengill, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation: Sunday, September 12, 4-7pm at Pump Springs Baptist Church
Funeral: Sunday, September 12, 7pm at Pump Springs Baptist Church, Scott Cannon and Dr. John Ditty, officiating
Graveside: Monday, September 13 at 11am at England Cemetery
Pallbearers: Nick Nash, Michael Boyd, Seth Boyd, Luke Boyd, Daniel Carmack, and Jason McConnell
