Billy D Baker

Billy Douglas Baker, age 87 of Harrogate passed away March 5, 2022. He was born April 17, 1934 to the late Nick and Mollie Baker. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 69 years, Helen Gibson Baker.

He is survived by his daughter Judy (Dennis) Edwards of Harrogate; son Paul (Judy) Baker of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren Terry (Jessica) Baker of Ooltewah, TN, Matthew (Jennifer) Baker of Cleveland, TN, Bradley (Nyela) Edwards of Johnson City, TN, and Caitlin (Cody) Hoskins of Harrogate, TN; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was a farmer and a master welder. He retired from J.R. Hoe and Sons Foundry. He was a long time member of Pump Springs Baptist Church.

Visitation will be Monday March 7, 2022 from 2 until 4 PM, with funeral to immediately follow. Burial will be in Shoffner Cemetery. Terry Baker, Matthew Baker, Josh Baker, Bradley Edwards, Peyton Edwards, and Cody Hoskins will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to thank the caregivers for their compassionate care and the love they gave Billy and his family. They would also like to thank Suncrest Hospice for their help during this time.
