Betty J. Turner passed away to her Heavenly home after a lingering illness at her home in Harrogate, TN with her loving husband and son by her side. She was born June 29, 1935 in Middlesboro, KY to Curtis and Edith Mealer Thacker and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at the age of 12.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Everitt, Leon, and Ray Charles; sisters: Edna (Randall) Wilson and Helen (RC) Yeary.
Betty graduated from Middlesboro, KY High School in 1954 and was employed as a teller at Middlesboro Commercial Bank for many years. She married Rev. Clyde Bolinger, an elementary school teacher and minister, in June of 1956 and had one son Timothy "Tim". She was very active in the Choir at Gap Creek Baptist Church in Harrogate, TN where they were members. Betty served Christ faithfully as a mother, minister's wife, bible study teacher, friend and counselor until Clyde's passing in February 2007 after 50 years of a happy marriage.
Betty met her devoted husband, Ray Turner in 2011 at their Gap Creek Sunday School Class and they were married April 12, 2013 by their pastor and continue to reside in Harrogate, TN.

Brother: Walter Kenneth (Rose) Thacker of Harrogate, TN
Sister: Cleo Conway of Bradenton, FL
Sisters-in-law: Joy (James) Bolinger of Harrogate, TN and Loris (Charles) Thacker of Crystal Lake, IL
5 Great Grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.

The family will have a graveside service Wednesday June 7, 2023 at 10 AM in Riverview Cemetery. Everyone please meet at the cemetery.
