

A son of the late Alexander and Jewell Snyder Litwin, he was born on Feb. 6, 1948, in Washington, D.C. He lived in Front Royal prior to moving to Harrisonburg over 30 years ago.
Mr. Litwin received his education from Warren County Public Schools. He was a professional truck driver all his life and drove and dispatched for Blizzard Transportation. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1320 of Harrisonburg.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Keiser “Dottie” Litwin; four daughters, Mechelle Arrington of Front Royal, Jennifer Litwin and Stephanie Shepherd and her husband, Brent, of Martinsville, Va., and Nicole Keiser of Harrisonburg; three sons, Michael Allen Litwin and his wife, Tina, of Front Royal and Steven Litwin Jr. and Jonathan Litwin, both of Harrisonburg. He also leaves 11 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; and one sister, Susan Payne and her husband, Rusty, of Front Royal. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Wayne Litwin, and a sister, Alice Litwin. He was also preceded by his great-great-grandfather, “ Potter” John Heatwole; a cousin, famous artist and Valley historian, John Heatwole; and grandfather and mother, Minor and Mattie Heatwole Snyder.
