

He was born on January 24, 1944 in Harrisonburg, and was the son of the late Raymond P. Knupp and Nora Emswiler Rhinehart.
Eddie lived in Rockingham County all of his life. He grew up in Linville and lived in Broadway and Timberville before moving to Harrisonburg in 1990.
He worked in the automobile industry, selling parts and cars, he was a mechanic and self employed in his later years. He enjoyed racing and was a gun enthusiast. He was a member of Mt. Olive Brethren Church in Timberville.
On January 1, 1979 he married Rachel Lee Clements Ulmer, who survives.
He is also survived by two children, Sheila Knupp of Harrisonburg and Susan Loan, and husband, Mike of Hot Springs, two grandsons, Charles Edward Smith and Nicholas James Smith both of Hot Springs, one brother, Marvin Lee Knupp, and wife, Ruby of Harrisonburg, four nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 2-4:00 PM, Saturday, November 6, 2010, at Lindsey Funeral Homes and Crematory in Harrisonburg. Eddie will be cremated and services will be private.
