Erma Tate Hollar

She was born on May 18, 1937 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary Criswell Tate.

Erma graduated from Harrisonburg High School. She enjoyed traveling and taking trips with her family, playing Yahtzee and cross-stitching.

On August 13, 1962, she married Jack Garland Woodell Hollar, who preceded her in death on February 21, 1963.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by a special niece, Mary Ann Campbell and husband, Tim, of Mt. Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Matt Siron and Angela Wilberger.

In addition to her husband and parents, four sisters and eight brothers preceded her in death.

The family will receive friends, 5-7 pm, Friday, September 30, 2022 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg.

A funeral service will be held 1 pm, Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
