Elizabeth A. "Betty" Lott

She was born on August 12, 1922 in New Brunswick, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Henry and Viola Rau Salzmann.

Betty lived the majority of her life in East Brunswick, NJ, she moved to Jackson, NJ before moving to Harrisonburg, VA five years ago. She was a Cafeteria manager for the East Brunswick Public Schools for a number of years before retiring. She was a member of Jackson United Methodist Church in New Jersey and Senior Citizen of Ocean County, NJ. Betty enjoyed crocheting, sewing and making quilts.

She is survived by a daughter, Karen Mortensen of Harrisonburg, VA; two sons, L. Robert Lott of Luray, VA and Joseph Puntorno of Florida; a brother, Henry Salzmann of East Brunswick, NJ; and a sister, V. Marie Murphy of TN.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Veronica Shalata and Mary Puntorno; a sister, Gertrude Allen; four brothers, George Salzmann, G. Frederick, Eddie and C. William Goddard.

Inurnment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, VA on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. with Pastor Trevor Whetzel officiating.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at DeBows United Methodist Church in Jackson, NJ, with Rev. Ernie Williams and Rev. Betty Gibbs officiating.
