Bobbie Theora Messer

She was born on August 16, 1960 in Mansfield, OH and was the daughter of the late William Theodore Messer and Lola Yvonne Flannery.

Bobbie lived her early life in Roanoke and moved to Harrisonburg four years ago. She was an advocate for the homeless people in the area.

She is survived by a daughter, Blair Soden of Hartford, KS; a granddaughter Yvonne Soden of Hartford, KS; four sisters, Terri Evette Messer of Harrisonburg, Michelle Julie Messer of Valrico, FL, Ginger Stack-Mendoza of Valley Vista, CA and Debra Kay Gray of Kelso, WA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Hulme; a brother, André Messer and her lifetime partner, Robert Croft.

Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:30-2:30 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Our Community Place, Harrisonburg, Virginia.
