He is survived by his son Scott W. Hibbitts in Newville, PA and son, Michael Hibbitts and family of Broadalbin, NY. William was married for 62 years to the late Mary Ellen (Beattie) Hibbitts, who passed away in July 2011.
A resident of Newville since 1985 he was active with the borough planning commission for over 15 years. His contributions can be found throughout the borough from the design of the town seal to numerous pen and ink drawings of homes and landmarks.
Memorial contributions may be made in William’s name to the Church of God Home, Carlisle, PA.
