Born March 5, 1920 in Harrisburg, PA, she was the adopted daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Plank) Fyler.
Prior to moving to Middletown Home in Sept. 2012, she resided in Bainbridge, PA in the same home for 72 yrs. Ginny was an avid and excellent sewer. She also enjoyed candy-making, cake-decorating and wine-making. Many will remember her homemade Easter eggs. Ginny loved dogs but was especially fond of English Bulldogs and owned several throughout her lifetime.
She was employed by the Cameron Dress Co. of Harrisburg and later the Scandinavian Down Co. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Bainbridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Kopecki, Sr. ('69) and her second husband, Daniel Balmer ('73).
Ginny is survived by ther three sons, Joseph Kopecki, Jr. (Nancy), Richard Kopecki (Debra) and Kenneth "Flub" Kopecki (girlfriend Linda Nauss); one daughter, Dixie McCauley (Larry); five grandchildren, Steven, Kenneth and Dawn Kopecki and Julie and Terry McCauley; five great-grandchildren; and two great great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2013, 11:00 a.m. at her church, 106 North 2nd St., Bainbridge, PA 17502. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
