Thomas W. Zimmerman, Sr., aka "Bill", "Bill on the Hill", "Harry", 89, of Harrisburg, and formerly of New Cumberland, unexpectedly passed away Monday, Aug 22, 2016. Born on December 5, 1926, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Pudmanski Zimmerman; three sons, Keith, Tom Jr. and Greg; Daughters-in-law, Lisa and Nancy; and five grandchildren, Matt, Michelle, TJ, Tony and Kyle. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and retired with 44 years of service from Conrail. Bill enjoyed spending his weekends and free time gardening, hunting, fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports. A viewing will be held on Thursday, August 25th, from 6pm to 8pm, in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg PA. A viewing will be held at 8:30 am, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 9:00 am, in Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6150 Allentown Blvd., Harrisburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
