Sandra Christine Wolf “Sandy” Keener, age 72, died Friday, October 28, 2016, with her loving family by her side. Born on November 17, 1943, she was the wife of the late Sylvester Franklin “Frank” Keener and the daughter of the late Adam and Christine (Elleck) Wolf.
Sandy was retired after 38 years as an Administrative Assistant in the Legal Department of the former Mellon Bank in Harrisburg, PA; a part-time elevator operator at the former Bowman’s Department Store; a part-time retailer for the former Wanamakers Department Store and former Peck’s Dress Shop; and a CARE Giver for Home Instead Sr. Care. She was a 1961 graduate of Central Dauphin High School; a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals, Harrisburg Chapter, where she served as President, Vice-President, and Secretary; and a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Steelton, PA where she volunteered as Secretary, Sunday School teacher, President of LCW, Choir member for 60+ years, and various other committees within the church. Sandy will always be remembered as a loving family member and friend and will live in our hearts forever.
Sandy is survived by her sister, Frances Dubesky of Swatara Township; her brother, Robert (Marilyn) Wolf of Cranberry Township, PA; two nieces, Debra (Stephen) Avery of Lower Paxton Township and Cindy (Gordon) Edgerton and Jaz of Charlotte, MI; two nephews, Michael (Kelly) Dubesky of Oberlin and Lexi, and Robert (Shelley) Wolf of Chaska, MN; five great-nephews, Stephen Avery III, Patrick Avery, Michael Dubesky, Cody Edgerton, Mitchell Wolf; two great-nieces, McKenzie Edgerton and Haley Wolf. She is also survived by stepson, Sylvester Franklin (Debra) Keener III of Mechanicsburg; stepdaughter Christy Keener of Mechanicsburg; six granddaughters, Heather Pavlekovich, Christal McCaffrey, Alicia Sharp, Laura Weedn, Ashlyn Geedy, Leah Geedy; grandson, Scot Keener; seven great-granddaughters and three great-grandsons. Preceding her in death are stepdaughter Kathy Keener, brother-in-law George Dubesky, and nephew Craig Wolf.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church on Saturday, November 5, 2016; viewing at 10:00 a.m., and services at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Victoria Larson officiating. Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc. will be handling the arrangements.

Sandy wishes to thank her family and many friends for all the love and support they have given her over the years. “I needed the quiet, no prison my bed, but a beautiful valley of blessings instead. A place to grow richer in Jesus to hide. I needed the quiet, so He drew me aside. She has gone to be with her beloved Frank and to prepare a place for us.”
