Robert F. Zeiders, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 13, 2011. He was born July 10, 1936 in Harrisburg and was the son of the late D. Alice Zeiders. “Tank” graduated from John Harris High School in 1955, where he played football. He retired after
35 years as the owner operator of a Tastykake franchise. He also worked for Pepsi-Cola and Hershey Park Trams and was a veteran of both the US National Guard and the US Army. He was a member of the Linglestown Life United Methodist Church and a member of VFW Post 15040.
Robert is survived by his wife, Donna of 46 years, three sons and a daughter, Robert D. Zeiders and wife Jennifer, grandchildren, Kelsy, Josh and Matthew of York, Brenda Hall and husband Darryl, grandchildren Brandon and Ethan of Harrisburg, Brian Zeiders and wife Amy, grandchildren Bryce and Bodie of York Haven, Brent Zeiders and wife Tracy, grandchildren Tyler and Taylor of Etters. He is also survived by a sister, Betty Wynn and husband Ed, of Hummelstown and 4 nephews and nieces.
Viewing will be on Monday, May 16, 2011 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry Street, Harrisburg, PA. Funeral Service is Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 12:30 PM with viewing 1 hour prior. Burial is with military honors in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery
