Born in Harrisburg, PA on August 9, 1923, the son of the late
Michael C. and Dorothy M. (Trout) Wevodau.
After retiring as an Engineer for the Pennsylvania Railroad, he went to work as the Clerk of Courts for the Honorable Judge Richard Lewis in Dauphin County, from where he later retired for the second time.
He was a WWII Army Veteran.
He was a Life Member of the American Legion Post #1001; Life Member of the V.F.W. Post #1213; Life Member of the Riverside Fire Co.; Member of the Wounded Warrior Project; and member of the Riverside United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty (Dunlap) Wevodau.
Surviving are 4 sons, Bob (and wife, Cathy) Wevodau, Jr. of Bear, DE, Mike (and wife, Jo) Wevodau of Jonestown, PA, Steve (and wife, Deb) Wevodau of Dauphin and Gary (and wife, Darla) Wevodau of Lewisberry, PA; 2 daughters, Jodi Adams and Trish Stoltzfus, both of Harrisburg; his sister, Doris Bennett of Mechanicsburg; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 faithful friends, Pam Sites, Joanne Kohn and Tom "E6" Cassell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at the Gilbert L. Dailey Funeral Home, 650 S. 28th St., Harrisburg, PA 17103.
There will be a viewing from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
Burial will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
